Tessa and Benson grew up in Maple Creek, but never ran in the same groups. Benson was a jock and Tessa worked for the school newspaper. But when Benson was back in town for their friends wedding after getting caught destroying property, his job was on the line. He had to find a wife within the week he was home. Seeing Tessa walk out of the wedding hall he had an idea. She wanted to get out of town to work for a larger newspaper and he needed her help. This is a great story of how if you open your mind to possibilities you never know if your heart will follow.
