I had the privilege to read an ARC copy of Dirty Whispers by Paula Cox. Emily has had a terrible past, but it crashes into Jude's and they both fall hard and fast. But Emily's brother won't leave her alone and that's hard to Jude to handle. Jude is an enforcer for the mob and Patrick is a woman beating druggie who thinks Emily is his property. Emily finds out she is a strong woman and can speak her own mind. Being with Jude makes her stronger and it's now possible to stand up to Patrick and everyone else who has tried to smother her. All the while falling in love with Jude and he having to find out how to deal with a strong woman who has grabbed his heart and won't let go. He doesn't only have to protect her he can't let her go. Love is strong and wins out against evil.

I had the privilege of reading The List by Alice Ward.

Riley and Xavier are from two completely different worlds but they still manage to find each other. Riley has big dreams of becoming a baker, but life keeps getting in her way. Ava

I’m just about to text Rowan back when the door opens, and he’s standing in the entrance. His face is unreadable. He doesn’t enter. He only waits looking like the most gorgeous thing I’ve ever seen in a dark suit and tie. He’s still wearing the glasses he’ll occasionally put on when he’s reading, and I rise out of my chair, closing the laptop before I go to him.

“I’m sorry,”I say, reaching out for his hand.

He takes mine and raises it to his lips before pulling me closer.

“What’s troubling you, Ava?”

I look down at my shoes, awkwardness filling my stomach.

“You didn’t have tocome all the way over here.”

“Why are you having second thoughts about the baby?”

I take a deep breath and sigh, lifting my eyes to his.

“It just seems like everything is in such chaos. What makes us want to bring a child into this mess?”

His dark eyes soften as they hold mine, but he doesn’t answer immediately. I love that he doesn’t pat me on the head and tell me to stop being ridiculous. He takes my fears seriously.

“It’s our royal duty,”he finally says.

Now I’m frowning.

“That’s your only reason?”

“No...”

He touches the side of my cheek with his thumb, and I wait.

“I’d also like to see what happens when we take half of you and mix it with half of me.”

My frown softens a little.

“I have dreamed of our babies.”

I remember my chubby, dark-haired daydreams.

“I expect we’ll have an overly analytical, extremely controlled little leader,” he says,and I sigh and nod. “Or a thief who steals cars and races them away.”

“Rowan!”

I push his arm, ready to storm across the room.

I had the privilege of reading and ARC copy of Step Boss, by Ash Harlow.

Marcus had a one-night stand months ago, he then moves to the home office of his family business and walks into the lunchroom and she is standing there. He then finds out not only she is his PA, but his father married her mother so she is his stepsister. Carley can't believe who just walked into the lunchroom, she recognizes him right away and learns at the same time that he is her boss and her stepbrother. If only they could both forget their night at the bonfire life would be so much easier, but neither of them can let it go. They need to hide their relationship from the office and their parents who are holding their pasts against them. But after working together and finding corruption happening in the company they both work at, their worlds start to fall apart. But even the threat from your parents can't stop the feelings they have for each other.

Great book with and amazing HEA. 

I had the privilege to read Mafia Daddy by Piper Sullivan.
Keane and Fi had a different kind of history. Growing up and falling in love with her father's best friend and right-hand man was difficult for Fiona. Then having to run away in secret and hide for weeks alone, neither of them could ignore the pull they both felt. Great story that shows there is no obstacle big enough to come between two people who love each other. 

Another great book about Nolan and Isabel. They continue their love lives and Isabel tries to figure out more about her life she didn't know about. This one has a huge cliffhanger and makes me want to throw my phone across the room, but I will wait patiently for the next book.

 

 I was lucky to receive an ARC copy of this book Owned by the Billionaire from Kira. Loved it! Kennedy owned a small diner and was struggling to keep the doors open. Then Bryce and Kennedy met in a busy bar where Kennedy's best friend worked. Things were hot right away, but then tragedy struck Kennedy's diner and she had to take all of her time rebuilding that and not with Bryce. But fate would not let her stay away from him and things ended a lot different than either of them thought it would.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy of this book. I fully enjoyed all the twists and turns. Hunter and Tess were high school sweethearts, but real life got in their way. For 8 years they were estranged, but then Hunter came back to town to finish some old business and ends up finding out Tess is the most important business he needs to take care of. They have lots of chemistry and fight it as long as they can. I truly enjoyed this book and all of the challenges the couple faces.
