This is my first book by Kate and I loved it. Couldn't put it down. Walker was a country music star until he was forced to make changes to his third album and it bombed and so did his career. Now he wants nothing to do with music or the public, but Ellen is planning their towns July 4th celebration and wants him to play during it. Not only for entertainment but because she sees something in him that she thinks he needs and she wants to help. Now convincing him is not easy and Ellen needs to spend more time with him and she finds she wants that time as much as she wants to hear him play again. He is her daughters Kayleigh's favorite artist and she wants to meet him too, but can Ellen protect their hearts after spending so much time with Walker neither of them want the time to end.
